butter field
Recently, I often buy canvases second hand. I go to goodwill and find paintings to paint over. It is not only cheaper to buy canvases this way, but a fun, warped collaboration with strangers. When I do this, it is always my goal not to destroy the prior work, but to integrate my own ideas into it, whilst maintaining the integrity of the original in some way.
