Soggy Notions

"Soggy Notions." 2010. 33" x 36." Oil and acrylic on canvas. the title of this piece refers to the hopes of the principal characters in the time between when the memory was created and when the painting was finished. The 2 words are a derivation of an unreleased Velvet Underground track.

Here is a 3d scan, of yours truly, done at the GDC in San Francisco last week. My friend said I look like a Grand Theft Auto character. I take that as a compliment.

Frank Finkerton at Spike N Mike Sick and Twisted
here is a shot i took wit me Iphone.

what that frame looks like in the short:

No, we're not really matching as much as it looks, or maybe we were and I failed to notice
At the Alamo Drafthouse in my hometown of Houston. We are at the Spike and Mike Sick and Twisted Animation show, which includes the "Last Temptation Of Crust!" We had a blast. It was the first time for me to see one of my creations on the big screen, and in a very fitting way, seeing spike and Mike shows at the Alamo in downtown Austin was very influential in my wanting to learn animation.
Frank was in good company, too. i think the show is in San Antonio this week, catch it if it roolls to your town.
